A Spectacular Day in Parintins, Brazil - January 15, 2024 - World Voyage Day 13 - 6761 Steps

Today was a spectacular day as you will see from the photos and videos of the Boi Bumba Festival Show. The videos are at the end of the post.

Linda has discovered she enjoys the Americano iced from the Crow's Nest Cafe over the coffee from the Buffet where we eat breakfast every morning. There is a charge for her Americano, but with our drinks package they are free as are all our wines and other drinks. We are always way beyond the two drinks to break even line. It has turned out to be a very good deal indeed.

Barista at work.

While Linda gets her preferred morning wakeup beverage I like looking at the monitors.

Another monitor.

There were so many passengers going ashore they were using barges as well as tenders to ferry us ashore. We were boarding when it was a barge tied up to the platform.

The festival performance is special to only Holland America

Lights, Music, Action - Cellphone Cameras raised high.

Do we even have to wonder where their eyes are focusing on?

The videos should provide a better ides of what a spectacle it really was.

Framed photo centered as closely as I could on our room. Hard to do when the tender boat is rocking so much.

With no Islay origin scotch at the bars, it's time to try some different ones. This was the Aberfelby 12 year. Not my style.

The clouds are something I could look at all day.

He was so good the first time we can back to enjoy him again.

The good news was he was dead on with one joke after another aimed right at our age group. The bad news was it was his last performance. Sad Linda, Sad Bob.

Below are a few of the many video clips we took of the Boa Bumba. They are all short, between 15 and 20 seconds and show different aspects of the show.
