Travel Day 26 - January 28, 2024 - 12,515 steps The new should be obvious, a new look to the blog. The reason was, I was using an old Blogger template and it was taking so much time to change the font and font size. Not sure if this is the one, but will go with it for a while. Also changed my wording for the title of the daily posts since "Another Sea Day" doesn't mean much as far as what is in the post. Bored Bob. The big smile on the server at the buffet section I frequent in the mornings belies the somewhat sleepless nights most everyone on board experienced last night. The reason was the famous Tehuanos, winds that were 70 miles per hour creating 15 foot waves that had the ship rocking and rolling along with the occasional jarring bounce accompanied with ominous sounds. In the morning I asked Linda how she slept. Her answer, "I usually sleep on my side but the ship was moving so much I kept rolling over to my back or stomach. Finally I laid on my back with my ar

Grand World Voyage Day 25 - 18,912 steps A brief word about the number of steps shown above. a day ago the other half of the married couple I am one half of made a somewhat off hand comment to the affect that the other half of the marriage she was in was developing a physique that was less than admirable. Left unsaid was that it was likely due the person she was referring to displaying an excess of gluttonous behavior when visiting the ship's buffet. This one is a viewbox by Volker Kohn called "Music in the air". Another viewbox by the same artist. Linda enjoying the great weather and a bit of sun. A very tiny bit

Grand World Voyage Day 24 - 7152 Steps Note: Over 50 photos in this post, many with plants, some with butterflies none of which I have attempted to name. And quite a few photos with no accompanying words at all. (Part of the reason for that is we took over 500 photos yesterday and just culling them down to approx. 50 took way too much time.) The Windstar passed by our side the ship early this morning. They really crowd you in when the tender is a lifeboat. But as long as I'm aboard when it has to used a s lifeboat I wouldn't care how crowded it was. The marina at Quepos where the tenders put us ashore. The Captain mentioned in his daily update that we were the largest ship to ever call on Quepos, but in the future it was likely other large ships would also be stopping here. A few scenes from the town as we departed on the hour and twenty minute bus ride to Jaco Beach Rainforest Adventure Park, our excursion's destination. Miles of coconut oil palm plantations along the ro
