Around the World in 128 Days - Sea Day with a "Twist"
Travel Day 49 - February 21, 2024 - 24528 Steps
Dawns early light over a much calmer ocean.
I may have posted this once before, but every time I walk past it, it just call out to me "What do you think I am?" And my answer is always the same, I have no clue.
Need I point out we both really enjoy our verandah.
It may be nice and warm outside, but inside the air conditioning is set a bit to low for Linda's comfort.
Kimberly's guest this morning was one the top balloon artists of Japan, Syan,.
His command of English was somewhat limited and was interesting to see how Kim changed her interview technique to accommodate this, speaking simply and slowly while using hand and arm motions to sometimes show what she was referring to.
What food should we try when in Japan? was the question he was answering in this video.
Getting ready to put his artistry on display.
Nothing slow about the way he transforms those balloons into something recognizable.
Almost done.
He makes it look so easy.
Balloon art.
Only one person in the audience was able to blow up one of his balloons.
We think of Japan as a country, which it is, but it's also an archipelago of 6,852 islands with 18,586 miles of coastline and has four different writing systems as shown on the slide indicates.
The daily sea video shows just how much calmer the sea is today compared to yesterday.
Linda has a seat she likes at the craft class she always attends. I'd been up to the bow looking for what turned out to be non-existent birds to photograph, when passing through the Lido Buffet where her craft class meets I spied this real cute chick or to use a bit of British slang, bird, and just had to photograph her.
Tools of the crafters trade.
What can i say, she looked so nice all dressed for an evening out I just had to take another photo of her. Lucky Bob.
This was tonight's towel art, we both decided it was a rabbit.
