Around the World in 128 Days - The Pacific Ocean is Huge - 8th Consecutive Day at Sea

  Travel Day 45 - February 17, 2024 - 7394 Steps

Major food day today, so thought I'd start off with one of the breakfast stations, it's yogurt, muesli and various fruits here.

Right beside it are the juices, this orange juice is fresh squeezed we think. At least it tastes better than what the servers pour out of the big pitchers. It is also home to the specialty milks. including our favorite, oat milk.

You ca also get specialty coffee that is far, far better than what the servers have. Of course it costs extra, but it is worth it. And even better it is included in our drinks package.

Linda likes to sit up front at Kimberly's interviews.

Today's guests were the Future Cruise specialists. No video of their answers as they answered every one of Kim's questions at what might be termed great detail and length. I just didn't have it in me to edit even one of their answers down to manageable length. It was one of those "you had to be there" times.

This was Justine's last presentation and everyone was sad to see her go as shown by the long sustained applause when she finished.

The Portuguese man-of-war photo was taken on the sand and looks just like the one we saw washed up on the beach at Boca Chica near Starbase.

The seas were not nearly as rough as had been the case the past few days.

Shortly after I took the photo of the seas we were in the middle of a rainstorm.

What follows is a series of photos we took of the cakes, etc. displayed at the For Cakes' Sake event where the chefs get to show off their baking skills.

My plate. The slice in the foreground was famous San Rival from the Philippines. Think rich and decadent and it is easy to image what it tastes like if you include cashew meringue and French buttercream in your thoughts. Really Good doesn't begin to describe it.

And to accompany those cakes we sipped in chocolate martinis.

An usual rainbow, that's all there was of it.

Unbelievably, even after gorging on the For Cakes' Sake goodies at 3 PM, there was still room for dessert after dinner. It wsn't all that easy, but I was up to the task. Bloated Bob.
