Goodbye Stockholm, Hello Kalmar

This could be the last of the morning herring in the wonderful yellow sauce. An epicure Bob is not, but he does love herring for breakfast. Linda is probably wishing this is the last of the morning herring. We have agreed to disagree, Don’t ask why but got curious this morning to know what a Swedish bedframe looks like. It certainly isn’t you usual found in America, Chinese made piece of crap It has style and quality. It always amazes me in reading the travel forums at the number of women who think they need to bring an iron along with them to Europe. Thank goodness Linda isn’t a clothes horse, though if she was we would never have gotten together in the first place since her description of college student Bob when we first met was that I was a slob. You know, a gravy stain on my pants, so what, it’s only a small stain. Somewhat neater Bob. Our transportation for the next couple of weeks. Are those rally car driving lights on the front? View from the back of the bus. Li...

Something New, Something Old

Fun in the cafe I had tried to upload this video to yesterdays post, but at 11 o’clock at night after a very long day I was not operating on all cylinders. Thus it goes up today. The only reason we could think as to why we sought shelter from the storm in a cafĂ© that was about to flood was because Sara N. Dippity led us there. What a Life we Live. Linda asked me to document the fact she was putting the maps of the city in our daypack this morning. Now I have to wonder what else she might have forgotten to pack. Don’t blame me, my job is carry all those pounds of “stuff” she crams into that daypack. You might recall I wrote yesterday about a scrap of paper that had the opening times of the museums which had apparently it had disappeared in some unknown corner of the universe. This morning Linda found it, though she never divulged its exact location. I took a photo of it but said nothing. Nice Bob. We had a great walking tour of the city today. This is the one thing we m...

Lift Those Feet upon High

It was a bad morning in Stockholm. There was no pickled herring at breakfast today. Big Bummer. Sad Bob. Smiling Linda. Linda laughing at yesterday’s post when she saw my photo of the sad faced cow. She’s still a farm girl at heart. The outside of the Swedish postal Museum because there is a story here. It seems that a certain unnamed (to protect her identity) member of the family wrote down the opening time of the museum on a scrap of paper. a scrap that was somewhere in an unknown place in the universe. It turned out to be 11 and we were there a little after 10. No problem though, Linda just dug into the backpack I was carrying to get out maps so we could find the next museum. When the pulling and pushing inside the backpack almost pulled me over backwards I sensed a problem. I hear mutters about the maps being in here, but now they are gone. I hear mutters about the male member of our family doing something wrong. it was at that point that I quietly and cautiously said...
