Around the World in 128 Days - Day 3 of 4 at Sea was a Busy Day

Travel Day 124 - May 6, 2024 - 6,576 Steps

Another great Linda day on the high seas.

Early this morning the ship's cabin stewards created a towel zoo around the Lido pool. Walking in this orangutan greeted us.

Mice and more mice.

Creatures everywhere.

Flying fish?

Turkey.

And not all the creatures were little.

Gotta love the tail.

It was a special time.

A video walk around the entire zoo.

Kim's interview allowed to learn about the security staff.

Later Kim gave a talk on out last port of call, San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Cooking demo with Linda in the photo she took.

A brief glimpse into what we have been seeing.

Chief Engineer's talk in the afternoon. Ship's engines are gargantuan.

Everything is huge on the ship.

Another talk, this one on the James Webb Space Telescope.

David's talk on the slave trade was a real learning expereince.

With the Pope telling the rulers of Spain and Portugal to either convert the natives of the New World to Catholicism or kill them, it soon became necessary to import slaves due to there being so few natives left alive.

Portugal has the second largest number of Africans in the world after Nigeria thanks to all the slaves they imported.

Crafters at work.

It was earring day and they are very pretty.

My lamb shank for dinner was the best ever.

Two cuties. Lucky Bob.
