Around the world in 128 Days - San Juan, Puerto Rico

Travel Day 126 - May 8, 2024 - 7,666 Steps

Joe and Patrick our room stewards who have gone way beyond and above to not only keep our room in perfect conditions, but also have a great sense of humor.

If it looks familiar it's because it the same one I recently read. I mentioned to Linda I thought she would enjoy reading it, and she did.

You never know how things like this are going to turn out.

It proved to be great from original songs, standup comedians, dancing, musical instruments.

There's talent hidden amongst the ship's passengers.

It took a while after Jose And Grace were transferred  from the Lido, but in the opposite corner of the Lido we found Lisna, who was every bit as awesome as they were.

David's history presentation, proving once again that only a tiny bit of history is about names and dates like we were taught in high school.

A cartoon from several centuries ago portraying the effects of consuming too much sugar on the King of England. And it is a slight exaggeration of what 4 months on a cruise ship has done to me.

Docking isn't always easy.

Some views of San Juan, Puerto Rico, our stop from mid afternoon till the evening.

Linda was intrigued by this sign on a roll-off dumpster being placed next to the ship.

The 5000 plus passenger cruise ship moored next to us had a different entertainment option. It obviously also catered to different age group that can go on a 4 month around the world cruise.

Clay and Jen, I can say absolutely theyt make the best Manhattans I've ever drank. The Crow's Nest became like the friendly neighborhood bar of the TV shows. We walk in, whoever was on duty would say "The usual?, We'd smile and nod and sometime later a Tanqueray, light tonic water G&T and a Manhattan with a large ice cube and three cherries would be brought over to us. In a few days we will be back home, but Linda will still be getting the same service in terms of her nightly G&T, thanks to me.

Lamb fixed a different way tonight.

Linda had her nightly salmon and mashed potatoes.

Night at our last port of call.

  1. So are you doing your blog elsewhere or is this just the end? I've been reading your stuff for years and thought you'd given it up. I post every couple of weeks just to prove I'm alive (tampabaystuff.blogspot.com). You could do the same - or talk about travels in that fancy Sophie. Take care & best wishes!
