Around the World in 128 days - Seychelles Islands

 Travel Day 92 - April 4, 2024 - 16,240 Steps

Wow! Just wow. Everyday truly is a new day.

The whole sky was glorious.

As long as the heat and humidity don't bother you.

The famous clock tower everyone photographs.

Puzzling sign until one notices the yellow box on the pavement around the clock tower.

Beautiful and soft as bunny rabbit fur.

Their called "golden apples" but are in no ways similar to the apples we know. In the schools on the Seychelles students learn English and French besides Creole, thus everyone is trilingual.

The town market.

The special tea of the islands. And yes, I bought some.

He didn't sell fish, he only cleaned them.

With year around temperatures being the same, most places are open air, which makes it easy for these birds to visit the market.

Their job is to eat the bugs, mostly flies, rather than the fish.

An overview of the food market area.

The vendors were all very friendly and it was often a learning experience talking to them.

Coco de Mer, the largest coconut which can weigh up to 80 pounds and live as long as 800 years. This one was completely dried up, otherwise Linda wouldn't have been able to hold it.

Beautiful and different.

Giant tortoises.

Why we travel.
