Grand World Voyage Day 25 - 18,912 steps
A brief word about the number of steps shown above. a day ago the other half of the married couple I am one half of made a somewhat off hand comment to the affect that the other half of the marriage she was in was developing a physique that was less than admirable. Left unsaid was that it was likely due the person she was referring to displaying an excess of gluttonous behavior when visiting the ship's buffet. With a display of moderate restraint in the buffet line and an increase in physical activity via walking, it is hoped at the very least to decrease the rate of deterioration, i.e. expansion, of said persons physique. There is constant maintenance work being carried out on the ship.
There is art to be found all over the ship. This one is a viewbox by Volker Kohn called "Music in the air".
Another viewbox by the same artist.
Linda enjoying the great weather and a bit of sun. A very tiny bit of sun.
Photos just can't due justice to what standing on the stern of the ship and watching the motion and sound of the water churned up by the ship.
Video of the aft wake. Used the Promenade Deck rail to steady the camera.
All that exercise makes for a tired boy. Ms. Snappy Happy was right there to document it. And I thought I was faking reading quite well as ai dozed off and on. Okay, more dozed off than the other.
The seas have been increasing slowly all day. The Captain mentioned in his noon briefing there would be a rollicking time aboard the ship during the night tonight. Linda is prepared with pills and bracelets. Smart Linda.
This begins a set of sunset photos that had to be seen to realize the intensity of the color of the sky.
A Whiskgroni. Don't believe I'll have one again, but it still was good preparation for the rough seas expected during the night. Smart Bob.
It was Beatles night at the early set at the Boardwalk. Had a great time singing along. A person could easily get addicted to this type of cruising life, words I never thought I'd say.
